Instrument for fiber optics test
The instrument, through laser illumination, permits the measurement of transmission loss and of coupling of connectors for fiber optics used in telecommunications.
Control connectors are inserted on a mask post situated the back panel, while internally the necessary parameters are measured with the sample connections, collocated on a cart which moves longitudinally.
The measurement mechanisms are installed within the instrument which transports, inserts and removes the connectors. All the electronic parts are constituted from a PC board and a numerical control CPU which executes the requested real-time functions.
